* A scramble tournament is a team event. All four players hit off the tee. The team select the best one and every player hits their second shot from there. Repeat until the ball is in the hole. Each team must use each players tee shot at least once. Men will play from the white tees and women may play from the green tees. The team with the lowest score wins.
Congratulations to Jackie Dufresne, Ellen Mowles, and Gary McKinney winners of out first golf tournament with a score of 2 under par for nine holes at the Havana Country Club. Our second place finishers also at 2 under par were James Creighton, Jim Curran, Diane Gay and Mike Russo. A great effort but tournament director Scott Sauerman liked Jackie, Ellen and Gary better. Also congratulations to the closest to the pin winners Mike Russo and Lou Brandel.
Many thanks to Susie Neubauer and Scott Sauerman for their efforts that made this event a success. Stay tuned, we may have another golf tournament in the future.
