For his years of service Jim Curran was awarded lifetime membership in the Villages Table Tennis Club. He joins our founders Bud Stout, Bobbie Olson and Bob Geremia as the only lifetime members.
Unlike table tennis in most of the country in the Villages we play doubles almost exclusively. Let’s play some singles. Beginning next Sunday August 18 at Laurel Manor at 12:00 noon half the room will be dedicated to singles leading up to our next tournament which will be a round robin singles tournament open to all club members men or women.
Table tennis returns to Laurel Manor Recreation Center on Wednesday August 7.
Laurel Manor will not be ready for play on Monday August 5 as originally scheduled. You can play at Rohan Recreation Center, 12:00 for men and 1:30 for women.
Laurel Manor will be closed July 1 – August 4 for maintenance.
The recreation department is adding alternatives for the month.
Wednesdays – Eisenhower 9:00 am to 11:50 pm
Saturdays – Eisenhower extended play time, their usual 9:00 am to 12:00 pm plus 12:00 pm to 2:50 pm.
Sundays – Colony Cottage extended play time, their usual 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm plus morning hours 9:00 am to 11:50 pm.

Both Nittaku and DHS announced the availability of 3 star ITTF approved poly balls in orange. If you are interested I keep a few of the DHS balls in my bag. ––John
Laurel Manor is loaning out 2 tables to the high school Wednesday Dec 12 through Monday 17. The remaining 6 tables will still be available for play.

There is no table tennis at 12:00 noon on Sunday, November 18, at the Laurel Manor recreation center. They will have open play time at 9:00 am as usual.
